Mike & Penny Kadinger
District Couple of the Year & Assistant District Educators
We Are Mike & Penny Kadinger. We were so proud to be selected 2012 District Couple of the Year and just this year we joined the District as Asst. District Educators. We belong to Chapter A2 out of Lebanon IN. We are Chapter Educators, Motorcyclist Awareness Division (MAD) and Mike is a Certified Medic First Aid Instructor, I am Newsletter Editor for our chapter. We are Master Rider/Co Riders.
We have been married for 45 years, have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Mike is a retired Firefighter and now sells Fire & Safety Equipment and I have had a children’s daycare in our home for the past 40 years.
We joined GWRRA in July of 2008. We are very active in our Chapter. We have attended every Winter Rendezvous and Spring Wing Warm Up since we joined. We have attended 3 Region D Conventions and 2 Wing Dings, they are always lots of fun. This year we attended our first Cabin Fever and had a great time.
Mike rode motorcycles years ago in the 1970’s, but when we got married and started a family they went on the back burner until 2007 when we bought a 1985 Goldwing…a beautiful blue bike with lots of chrome & extras. We started riding with a group in Crawfordsville until a friend invited us to a Gathering in Lebanon with A2…We joined…the rest is history… We love being in GWRRA!! It truly is “Friends for FUN, SAFETY and KNOWLEDGE”
It is an honor being selected as the 2012 District Couple of the Year and are looking forward to representing our District…we are planning many chapter visits in order to promote the Couple of the Year program. Since joining GWRRA we have already met many people and had lots of fun and we want to continue doing this by attending as many GWRRA events as possible . |
