Dave
& Cherryl Shull Hello Indiana, I was told I had to let you all know about us so here goes. We're Dave and Cherryl Shull from Syracuse, members of Chapter H of Goshen. Some will remember me as I got started in the fall of 2002 with my late wife Sandy. In 2004 we became ACD for Chapter H and District Couple of the Year for Indiana before I lost her to cancer in 2005. Cherryl and I met as my son Scott was taking me out to look at trucks. Cherryl was the sales person I saw and all she wanted to do was to talk about motorcycles when she saw my GoldWing jacket I had on. Didn't buy a truck by the way but I did ask her to go on a ride on Easter weekend with seven other bikes from the chapter and we ended up riding 300 miles that day and I couldn't get rid of her from there on (and he didn't want to get rid of me either) and a year later I asked her to marry me at Winter Rendezvous as I asked Butch and Margaret Micheau if there can be a wedding at Spring Wing Warm Up in Portland that year. I was the Chapter CD from 2006 through 2008 as I stepped down I became the Chapter Newsletter Editor and have thought about the education side for some time and when Larry asked if I would be an ADE for the District (at a weak moment) I said I would give it a shot, now with the help from the chapter educators in my area I think we all can make a difference and help the chapter members be better riders. We road the '99 GL1500 I had until last February at Valentine's Day when we went to Lake City Cycle in Warsaw to look for new helmets for the coming riding season. They made us a great deal on a new '08 Metallic Red GL1800 that was too good to turn down, and yes we did get new helmets. We have only managed 13,000 miles this year but I think that will change this coming year for sure. My old Wing ended up only about 5 miles away and we had to meet the new owner and go riding with him. Now Jerry is a new member of GWRRA and Chapter H so when you see my old black 1500 say hi to Jerry and welcome him to the family. We are looking forward to helping as many members as we can in the coming years as Assistant District Educators of Indiana and we thank you for your support.
